Marko Arnautovic
Didn’t see another thread about this, but he’s now starting to look very good. Seems to have found a great rapport with Lanzini and a couple of others. Really clever movement, pace, power and starting to find the net combined with a high work rate.

Yesterday was a great performance. Loads of guts and determination and there’s no way he was leaving Stoke without a goal. Loved him sticking it to the away fans after the abuse he was getting. Feels like that was the game he truly arrived.

What a turnaround from the first few months of the season when I am sure we were on the way to bombing him out of the club. I can see now why we paid the money for him and I hope he continues to just get better and better. He’s on the way to becoming a proper favourite. Really enjoying watching him play at the moment.

Loved the crossed hammers

Just realised I wrote AWAY fans- which would be us! Obviously I mean the Home (stoke) fans!

Re: Marko Arnautovic
The last couple of weeks he has looked like the player we hoped we had bought.
Had a shocking start with the club but fair play to him he now looks committed & hungry.
Have also to give Moyes credit for working out the sort of role that suits his strengths.

Needs to sharpen up his finishing though as he should have had 4 (FOUR) goals yesterday

Reacted negatively to Bilić.

Reacted positively to Moyes.

There's a proper forward in there given the right manager and support. Hopefully this is only the start of beautiful partnership with Lanzini (ooh err!).

There weren't many of those, so your error is quite understandable.

Re: Marko Arnautovic
Well I would say it's because of better management by Moyes but that would cause a bunfight on here among the halfwits who think the quality of management has nothing to do with performance.

My son predicted he would turn out well. Now I have to put up with his smugness.

He has been winning the fans over, but yesterday it properly clicked.between us. He is now IN, as we are with him.

"This could be the begining of a beautiful relationship."

Play it again, Arnie.

First chance for me to watch him was the Spurs game. Mate text me to ask what he was like. I replied “ I think we’ve just bought ourselves £24m worth of lazy c*nt”
Transformation under Moyes and his team is truly impressive. Arnie is finding his mojo and more importantly for me making a massive connection with the club and the fans. Same goes for other players and the likes of Chic will now want a piece of it all instead of sulking.
Something must have been going seriously wrong with Bilic and the players behind the scenes.

What LIly said. Yesterday was a binary event, can only see him going from strength to strength now.

He has a face you would enjoy punching, but he is now our face and is performing well sort the finishing out and stay fit and the sky's the limit

All the praise, from villain to hero. How long before he gets injured being West Ham.
Joking aside, you do wonder what was happening under Bilic. It's like having a new signing.

Re: Marko Arnautovic
love the way he dealt with that cunt Hughes yesterday and the whining stoke mongrels, not long ago I'd given up on him so glad he's turned it round

Re: Marko Arnautovic
I get the impression he has a personality not unlike Di Canio. He needs to feel loved by management and fans. I don't think he got that at Stoke towards the end, and possibly not from Bilic. Moyes has made him feel valuable again and he's showing it on the pitch. We're winning games, confidence is high among the team, he's being told how great he is by everyone, and he's motivated again.

Long may it continue. He could easily turn back into a nuisance if it doesn't.

Re: Marko Arnautovic
That moany old sheep-shagging cunt Hughes was even given Arnie abuse as he went off.

Hughes was having a pop at him in the papers before the game as well with all this "sideways" move bollocks and that we're not a bigger club!

Is he fucking thick or what?! We get almost twice the size gates that they get and we've achieved a lot more than them historically. I can barely name any famous ex-players for them... Banks and Sir Stanley Matthews. That's about it. Sir Geoff went there when he was past it, of course.

Stoke are a regional club that are barely Premier League size. They've had their 8/9 consecutive years in the top-flight now it's time for them to drop back into the Football League where they belong. Their gates will drop back down to 15k in no time as well.

dicksie

Yeah I saw that too.

I didn't catch all of it but the last word Hughes shouted at Arnie was definitely "fucker"

Love it when our players can wind up the opposition manager to that extent. Keep it up Arnie.

Re: Marko Arnautovic
I quite liked Mark Hughes until yesterday. He publicly slated Arnie in the press with all this sideways move bollocks. He is entitled to his opinion but he stirred up the home fans with all that sh1te and then Arnie had to endure an afternoon of playing the pantomime villain. Fucking loved it when he scored and then when he did the crossed hammers. Yes, we have done the same to Defoe and also Ince etc but for good reason. The big difference is our Managers didn't slate them on the touchline like Hughes did to Arnie. Also, the mong fan who threw the scarf or hat at him when he came off. He doesn't want to play for Stoke so he certainly wouldn't want that would he? Loving the fact he shoved Hughes comments down his throat and upset the fucking sour faced moron. We are now beginning to see what we paid for and I like it very much. COYI

Re: Marko Arnautovic
He runs his arse off and has a great shot too, he just needs to take his chances, the man is quickly becoming a Legend he was a cutesy type of player under Bilic he obviously has great skill and Moyes has got him confident and raring to go.

I think he may be of Albanian origin if that is the case he'll be a bit of a hot head but he will give everything if the fans show him respect and love, on the down side if ever he gets pissed off with everything West ham related he might do a strop like you have never seen.
Ibrahimovic would be my closest comparison regarding character.

Re: Marko Arnautovic
managers doing that sort of shit during games and inciting fans is crossing a line. the cunt should get a touchline ban, though he won't need it soon as I think he'll be out of a job very soon

Agree that Moyes has been brave to leave Chic and Carroll out of the team. In my opinion the 6 of them have to compete for 2 spots and Ayew, Carroll and Chic do not fit the mobile profile that Moyes is utilising. I'd happily see Big Andy and Andre leave in Jan and a few clubs with a fair bit of cash are now in dire trouble so we may also find some takers.

Bats in on loan from Chelsea would compliment this current side in my opinion.
